You start anchored at your home cove (⚓). Park inside the circle to repair and to unload the chests in your hold (50 weight to start, 10 per chest) for gold; pirates hold fire near it. Loose coins go straight to your purse. Sail between the buoys at the boathouse and press X (F) to park: the boat is winched up for inspection and you can upgrade the cannons (range 30 m, max 100 m) and enlarge the hold there.
